The design brief from the Boulder Co team was clear: “We want the biggest and best bouldering wall in the Southern Hemisphere”. That challenge was accepted and the result is a facility with 1000m2 of climbable walls, designed, manufactured and installed by Climb Craft.
Specialty walls include a curved ship, a diamond patterned training area, floating cube in the kids’ area, and ‘the wave’.
Despite numerous challenges presented by Covid, the install was completed on time and within budget.
Climb Craft also supplied 800m2 of matting and 2953 holds.
Boulder Co opened to the public in December 2021.
